Hello,

I just downloaded, compiled and installed the latest snapshot of the RT2570 driver for a Belkin F5D9050 on Ubuntu 8.10 (2.6 kernel).
(make, sudo make install)

By default, the built-in rt73 driver is loaded and used when I plug the antenna in.
How to correctly disable this driver and use my compiled one instead ? (just blacklist ?)
Which other configuration files do I

Next, I'd like to put the driver in monitor mode.
What's the correct way to do so.

Any links or comments are highly appreciated.

Geert

PS Probably these same questions are repeated. Maybe the readme could feature a quick Ubuntu howto

Yes blacklisting is correct. But if rt73us was loaded incorrectly, rt2500usb should also have been loaded,
otherwise you should try loading that first.

See 'man iwconfig' for details on how to configure wireless interfaces.

That is a public wiki, so feel free to edit it. Besides that link is maintained by Ubuntu people, not us.
