I have a debian with rt2x00 new drivers installed. I have a usb wifi key that loads rt73usb. But when I run "ifconfig wlan0 up", I get
SIOCSIFFLAGS No such file or directory
Someone says me that it's because it needs firmware. Is it true?. I believe that **only** in **old** drivers, it's needed.
Thanks a lot,
Yes, firmware is _always_ needed for rt61 and rt73 hardware. It can be downloaded from the Ralink website.
Okay. Thanks a lot.
In other topic of things, why is it?. Is rt73usb a new reimplementation of driver?. What we still need this driver (technical questions)?Just a curiosity.
