I have those messages at my AP (rt61, hostapd.git, kernel 2.6.27-rc7) with mtu=1500 on wlan0.

This is a problem with the core mac80211 stack. Please report this issue to the kernel bugzilla at http//bugzilla.kernel.org/, and raise the issue at the linux-wireless mailing list.
