Hi!

I've installed 2.6.27 and faced the same behavior as I reported in thread
[url2aqjldga]http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4945[/url2aqjldga]

Then I decided to scan as root and it produced positive results.

Question is it just me, or is [b2aqjldga]No scan results[/b2aqjldga] is not an adequate message in this case?

bornmw@xxx ~ $ /sbin/iwlist wlan0 scan
wlan0 No scan results

bornmw@xxx ~ $ sudo /sbin/iwlist wlan0 scan

scanning as non root reports the last scan data available, scanning as root triggers an active scan so you can't just report an error for a non root scan as that may be what the user wanted, especially with some (non Ralink) cards that schedule background scans from time to time so may have data to report.
