Hello,

I have an rt73usb wireless driver.

any ideas what
/sys/class/ieee80211/phy0/power/wakeup is for ?
when I try
cat /sys/class/ieee80211/phy0/power/wakeup
I get nothing.

It is a mac80211 entry, I suspect it controls the powersaving handling.
Perhaps you should write 1 to it to wake the device up.
I suspect there is a sleep entry as well in the same directory.

1) ls /sys/class/ieee80211/phy5/power/
shows only wakeup

2) echo "1" > /sys/class/ieee80211/phy5/power/wakeup
and then
cat /sys/class/ieee80211/phy5/power/wakeup
again shows nothing.

Just wondering...

As I said, it might be controlling something, most likely something with powersaving, so as long as you have that disabled, there isn't much use in using the file.
