Hi, I have a problem with the rt73usb driver in-kernel
When i try to connect to my access point

If i put up the wlan0 with iwconfig first of iwconfig and i do the command above it says "device busy"
If use a wlan assistant the debug message into the shell say "Interface not support scanning"
I've used always the driver rt73cvs-daily but with the kernel 2.6.29 not compile for this reason i have necessity to use in-kernel driver
Thanks for the support
AFAIK (I don't remember where I found this reply) with Gentoo and in-kernel rt73 wifi support, you have to emerge (masked)
# Add masked (for x86)
echo "net-wireless/rt73-firmware ~x86" >> /etc/portage/package.keywords
I didn't found anywhere on RT2x00 docs, but on http//bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=204314
It is already installed
Latest version available 1.8

Homepage http//www.ralinktech.com/ralink/Home/S ... Linux.html
Description Firmware for Ralink rt73-based WiFi USB adapters (rt73usb module)
And dmesg say phy1 -> rt2x00lib_request_firmware Info - Firmware detected - version 1.7
Make sure the interface is down when you are running "iwconfig", changing parameters such the mode requires that the interface is down.
Well problem solved.
After a lot of blasphemies i have activated the support for PHY Device support and infrastructure (PHYLIB) in kernel and all problems solved.
Works fine, good driver.
Thanks for it
