Hi.
I have usb device TL-WN727N. And i want to use this device in Access Point mode in Debian 6 (2.6.32-trunk-686).
Can i use this wifi adapter in AP mode with standart kernel modules?
After i insert devise automatic load modules
[code195w2p9i]# lsmod
rt2870sta 367325 0
rt2800usb 24891 0
rt2x00usb 5645 1 rt2800usb
rt2x00lib 18993 2 rt2800usb,rt2x00usb
crc_ccitt 1039 2 rt2870sta,rt2800usb

After start hostapd (0.6.9 or 0.7.1)
[code195w2p9i]# ./hostapd hostapd.conf
Configuration file: hostapd.conf
Using interface wlan1 with hwaddr 00:25:86:ee:e3:88 and ssid 'MySSIDName'[/code195w2p9i]
with hostapd.conf
[code195w2p9i]interface=wlan1
driver=nl80211
logger_syslog=1
logger_syslog_level=2
logger_stdout=1
logger_stdout_level=2
debug=1
dump_file=/tmp/hostapd.dump
ctrl_interface=/var/run/hostapd
ssid=MySSIDName
hw_mode=g
channel=1
beacon_int=100
dtim_period=2
max_num_sta=255
rts_threshold=2347
fragm_threshold=2346
wpa=2
wpa_passphrase=MyPass
wpa_pairwise=CCMP[/code195w2p9i]
But i can't see this or connect AP from another adapter.
Help me please with my problem.

I would remove that module, just so there's no chance of conflict.

Also, you may want to tcpdump the mon.wlan interface while you're scanning or attempting to connect.

For what its worth, just trying the rt2800pci drivers from compat-wireless 02-22-2010, I was neither able to connect as a client to an open wireless network, or use it in AP mode with hostapd.

My immediate uneducated guess is that the card "gums up" and stops responding over the air after a while.
