Hi all,

I am trying to put ralink rt2860 in adhoc mode. The kernel module getting used is rt2800pci. I am trying to connect to another computer which has atheros chipset (ar9285 ). I am able to connect to the computer containing the atheros chipset in adhoc when the rt2860sta.ko is loaded.

The series of command i use to put ralink with rt2800pci module in adhoc mode is

ifconfig wlan0 down
iwconfig wlan0 mode ad-hoc
iwconfig wlan0 channel 3
iwconfig wlan0 essid TEST
ifconfig wlan0 up
ifconfig wlan0 <ip>

i am using the kernel version 3.0.0-12 and compact-wireless version 3.3-rc1-2.

in dmesg i get the following error

phy0 -> rt2800pci_mcu_status Error - MCU request failed, no response from hardware

my md5sum of rt2860.bin is
75a1da3caa0b1c95e81dfba207f834c6 /lib/firmware/rt2860.bin

i have attached the complete dmesg .
