Hi, I've bought a rt3072 internal USB module with the aim to use it as an AP. Link [url2dbj8pg8]http://www.delock.com/produkte/N_95905/merkmale.html[/url2dbj8pg8]. I can set it up and connect to it, but the signal is very weak. I've previously used a different wireless USB dongle (p54) and was able to connect from the attic, now I hardly can find the AP when I'm three meters away from the antennas. I've tried upgrading to firmware 0.29, to hostapd 0.7.3 and to kernel 3.6.2, but to no avail. I also tried setting power management off before bringing up the AP, but this did not work.

Has anybody else encountered this problem? Should I open a bug report? And if so, where?
Hmm, it appears to be awfully quiet on this forum... Perhaps the mailing list would be a better place for my question? I'll wait for another couple of days to see if anyone wants to share their experiences with AP-mode and rt3072 wifi usb dongles.
