I just got D-Link DWA-160 adapter (which uses Ralink rt2870 chipset). I'm running Debian testing and it uses rt2800usb driver for it (with installed firmware-ralink 0.43). However I never was able to connect to my router on 802.11n band. The most I get is b/g. Is it driver's limitation or something isn't configured properly?
Are there any experts on the driver who might now this? I couldn't find this in the documentation, so can you please clarify if possible?
From my experience, it have never worked with n. So folks, it should be really a simple question. Is it even supposed to work with it or not?
I got a newer version of the same card (D-Link DWA-160 revision B2) and it's consistently gives less bandwidth on connection than the older revision B1. Is it something to do with the driver and is there any way to configure / improve that?
