I can see from searching on this board that a make should be fairly straightforward. I have checked to see that I have the gcc and kernel sources etc avaialble and I downloaded the latest beta for this driver today. What I get is...

make[1] Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-'

make[2] *** [modules] Error 2
make[1] *** [modules] Error 2

rt61.ko failed to build!

So , is it anything I am doing or not doing?
How do I get started with this?
Any help here is appreciated.

Maybe you will be more lucky trying the CVS version instead of this quite old beta release. wink

Thanks, the CVS file went perfectly, and the driver is now running well. I did try to get the graphical config tool as well though this complained about GTK, though again checking my packages they appear to be there .
No matter, the manual config was straightforward and the driver runs fine.
Thanks to all those involved in the project your work is appreciated.

Make sure you have the Gtk+ development packages installed, not only the runtime ;).
