rt61 monitor mode problem in fedora 7

hi...

I hav linksys wmp54g ver 4.1 wlan card. it supports rt61 drivers.
i instaled rt61 drivers which i downloaded from link http//www.ralinktech.com.tw/data/IS_Li ... 1.0.tar.gz

this driver is installed and works successfully.

only problem is it doesnt support monitor mode. I want to work with monitor mode.
i tried installing CVS drivers also. it supported monitor mode but i couldnt connect to my acess point.(couldnt detemine IP adderess). even in managed mode.

Any solution please........?

why is there so much problem in using monitor mode?

Please provide actual details about the version you are trying...
aka kernel version, driver version, debug output etc etc.
vague descriptions like "it doesn't work" aren't helpful.

Moved to correct forum.

Fedora ships rt2x00 drivers, so I am not sure why you use the legacy drivers, but support for the legacy drivers is provided on this forum.
