System freezing at random time
I have [idq3kd3ye]RaLink RT2561/RT61 802.11g PCI[/idq3kd3ye] and my system freezes at random time. It makes my realy crazy, because it happens often. Could you, please, help me?
I am using Mandriva 2008.1 and firmware downloaded from this link -> [urldq3kd3ye]http://hany.sk/~hany/RPM/f-updates-7-i386/rt61pci-firmware-1.2-4.noarch.html[/urldq3kd3ye]
SW Mandriva 2008.1 with kernel version 2.6.24
HW Celeron 1300Mhz, 256RAM, Nvidia Riva TNT2, RaLink RT2561/RT61 802.11g PCI
Well I would still advise you to read the sticky post I pointed you to. It tells you what information you should give when reporting bugs...
Maybe I am a dump, but I cant see any information about bug posting in that post.
To repeat the previous point Please read the README, TESTING and iwpriv_usage.txt files, when requesting support then those files will tell you what information should be provided in that support request. When that information is missing, you will have less chance at a usefull response.
I've decided to reinstall drivers. But I'm getting this error
[codeesguys4v][root@localhost Module]# modprobe rt61
FATAL: Module rt61 not found.[/codeesguys4v]
The rt61.ko is in Module directory.
Could you help me?
I've installed [i2ijhtjxj]kernel-desktop-devel[/i2ijhtjxj] for my version of kernel and now I'm getting this
[code2ijhtjxj]FATAL: Error inserting rt61 (/lib/modules/22.214.171.124-desktop-1mnb/net/wireless/rt61.ko): Invalid module format[/code2ijhtjxj]
Heh, so I'm continuing my monologue.
I finally replaced wrong rt61.ko and wifi is working. I hope my computer will stop freezing.
