Hi everyone,

I've managed to build and install the RT73 on an embedded ARM9 board D , ifconfig produces -

[code2ts8mf3q]
ifconfig
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:41:33:1F:11:99
inet addr:192.168.0.44 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b)
Interrupt:48 Base address:0xe300

lo Link encap:Local Loopback
inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0
UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1
RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b)

rausb0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:0E:2E:9F:D9:BF
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:1902 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:832 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:195006 (190.4 Kb) TX bytes:54912 (53.6 Kb)[/code2ts8mf3q]

iwconfig produces -

[code2ts8mf3q]
iwconfig rausb0
rausb0 RT73 WLAN ESSID:off/any
Mode:Auto Frequency=2.412 GHz Bit Rate:54 Mb/s
Encryption key:off
Link Quality=0/100 Signal level:-121 dBm Noise level:-115 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0
[/code2ts8mf3q]

How do I use the wlan link?

I've been given a WEP key, but my attempts at configuring rausb0 have been pitiful.

Do I need to configure the default route?

Regards,

Lee

Please read 'man iwconfig' and basic wireless interface configuration howtos found on our website under the section "Documentation" or just various howtos found on the internet.

Hi i have one ARM9 Dragonball from Freescale on a 2.4.20 Kernel linux. I have compiled the driver without any problem, but when i try to modprobe it i have this message
# modprobe rt73.o
Using rt73.o
insmod unresolved symbol request_firmware
insmod unresolved symbol release_firmware

Do you have any lead what is the problem? Thanks.

Your question has _nothing_ to do with the topic in which you posted,
I suggest you use the search button to find how to resolve this issue (and I am sure you will be able to find the solution, since it has been asked before) and if you can't find anything create a new topic.

Sorry IvD, oops
I only asked because he mentioned ARM9 and he had managed to do it. I have already searched for my problem and until now none solved it. ?

I will keep trying before open a topic or you gonna be mad again. shock
