Hello everybody !

I've successfully cross-compiled latest rt73 module for sh4 linux 2.6.17.14.
I can insmod it without problems.
The problem is with a Firmware.
I made my own /sbin/hotplug script with logging, I see that this script is running when inserting/removing regular usb-flash-disk.

When I put my usb-wifi, kernel doesn't run /sbin/hotplug script. rt73.ko is already inserted.

I'm confused, dmesg tells that it cannot find firmware but actually it's in't even looking for it.

Can someone give me some advice what to do enable kernel to run my script when usb-wifi is inserted ?.

Cheers
Greg.

Hello,
What is the output of "dmesg" exactly? If you insert the stick while the module is not loaded, does it get inserted automatically?
