I haven't touched the code for a while, I have very little time at the moment, and I'm going to start working soon, so it may become worse unfortunately.[/quotev2ik5tp1]
But I understand.
[quotev2ik5tp1]I said RutilT will support rt2x00, I'm not too sure now, I'm wondering if that would be worthwhile since NetworkManager is basically coming with most distributions.[/quotev2ik5tp1]
While I do think, that NetworkManager is great for many things it is
certainly not the best solution for everyone. I personally dislike it, because
it is always active.
Of course it is perfectly for people that do no know anything about networks
and don't want to know anything about networks.
I configure my local ethernet card with a very basic setup (it's just a dhcp
setup with a fallback address) and that works and I really don't see the
point using networkmanager for this which would sort of blow up the thing.
But finding a good gui for the wlan card isn't that easy and I hoped, that
RutilT could fit that gap when it will support rt2x00.
The best one apart from that is afaik the QT4 Gui from wpa_supplicant, but
wpa_supplicant somehow doesn't like my rt2500pci.
But I guess that will work at some point in the future.
[quotev2ik5tp1]I'd like to fix the issues people reported (especially a freeze with rt73), but I don't know if I'll add any feature. I must also say that I'm losing interest in RutilT...[/quotev2ik5tp1]
[quotev2ik5tp1]The repository is still the sourceforge one.[/quotev2ik5tp1]
