I've installed GIT, following the instructions at http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/wiki/ind ... structions.

How do I now install the files into the kernel? I manned GIT, and searched the Internet, but it's complete gobbledygook (sort snak as we say in Danish).

I need someone to hold my hand (-:, as I am very green when it comes to hard-core bit-banging.

When you downloaded the git repository, you have the kernel sources.
You need to follow the Kernel compilation howtos found online and make sure you enable mac80211 and rt2x00 in the configuration.
After that just boot into your freshly baked kernel.
