hi you guys...

i installed debian etch's rt2x00 package and it switches on "master" mode quite nicely... i also managed to get hostapd cvs (snapshot from 25rd of march 2007 or so) compiled.
so i do the following:

this sure does look quite nice. but i can't see the network when scanning for available wireless networks.... any ideas? what am i doing wrong?

Edit: Apparently this stuff works pretty nicely, but: I came to find out the reason why it didnt show me the SSID on my macbook: i *can* connect to it, but the connection keeps going off and on within every 2 seconds. that does not happen on my neighbour's windows notbeook...

any ideas?

Please tell particular versions of the software used or repository revisions. I tried to bring hostapd up but never succeed.
