Hi
Yesterday i installed the new 2.6.24 with the rt2x00 drivers. I have got an rt73 based USB-Stick, with the CVS rt43 drivers 2008012921 on 2.6.23 the Stick is working allmost fine :). I need Support für Ad-Hoc mode in my setup but it seems that doesn't work Ad-Hoc in 2.6.24 with all rt2x00 drivers. I tryed the rt73usb from Kernel first after them the rt73 from CVS. Currently it is not possible to set up an rt73 based wireless device with Ad-Hoc mode on a 2.6.24. The rt73 from daily CVS didn't put many Infos in dmesg but i have compiled the Kerneldrivers with the debuging option.

Here are the relevant messages of dmesg
Patches ore Help are allways welcome ;)

I think this error messages says it all actually....

Adhoc and master mode are scheduled for 2.6.26

Well there is a resource shortage in this project...
If rt73 legacy works for you then use that untill rt2x00 2.1.0 is released. You could also try the rt2x00.git version which has adhoc and master mode enabled again, I just don't give a guarentee that it is actually working...

I'd go further than that and say that I guarantee ad-hoc isn't working correctly for rt73. It will probably appear to work if at least one of the devices in your ad-hoc network isn't an rt73 but it won't comply with the spec.
