Hi,

First, sorry for my english.

I'm trying to have my ralink card, with rt2500 chipset, working with authentification mode wpa2 psk.

I use the latest cvs module rt2500-cvs-2008062206, a 2.6.24 kernel and Wireless-Tools version 29.

I look into the iwpriv_usage.txt and can't see a mention of wpa2

When i try #iwpriv ra0 set AuthMode=WPA2PSK
Interface doesn't accept private ioctl...
set (8BE2): Invalid argument

So is there a way to have wpa2 with rt2500 chipset ?

Thanx for your answers.

Are you sure that only the legacy driver is loaded?
What is the output of
Code:
lsmod | grep rt2500

As far as I remember, the rt2500 device doesn't support WPA2 and this is why it's not in the legacy driver.
But it should work with the new rt2x00 drivers since all association/authentication job is made by software and wpasupplicant.
Unfortunately, it seems that the new rt2x00 rt2500 driver was one of the last to work and you will need a recent kernel.
