Hi All,
I am using ASUS WL-107g wireless card and rt2500 wireless station driver.
When I am going to insmod the driver I am getting the following error message
"*RT25*<7>WRONG E2PROM VERSION 129, should be 1"
I am not sure where the bug is and how to solve that. I have bought this card recently.

I am using Lenevo laptop (3000 C100) and fedora core 5.

Please help me in this regard.

Thanks in advance
Tathagata

Hi tathagata,

If you can, build and run the driver with debug on (see README and TESTING files), then attach a gzipped copy of /var/log/debug to a posting here, and I'll take a look at it.

Thanks,

Thank you for your reply.
As you said I have enabled debug message and take dump into one file. Please find the attached zip file.

I have also execute the command "lspci -v"
Here is the output

02:00.0 Network controller: RaLink Ralink RT2500 802.11G Cardbus/mini-PCI (rev 01)
Flags: bus master, slow devsel, latency 64, IRQ 16
Memory at c2000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=8K]
Capabilities: [40] Power Management version 7

Thanks in advance,
Tathagata

Hi tathagata,

You're using Ralink's version of the driver. See Ralink for support for their driver. Download ours and see what happens.

Thanks,

I have downloaded the code from this site and still facing the same problem.
I am still getting the same error message.
It fails to scan any AP and thus it fails to connect to an AP.

Please help me in this matter.

thanks in advance

Hi tathagata,

You can do the same test procedure for our driver as I outlined in my previous post. If you wish to do that, I'll take a look at the log.

Thanks,
