I'm not getting my Rt61 up and running
But I've some Wifi Doubts that .... i might misunderstand just might add to the problem
-Wifi - implementation standards ?
WPA2PSK has no interference with wep encryption (key function/Encryptionkey)
as WPA2PSK has it own encryption key the web KEYs 1/2/3/4 existance or not
make no difference on te settings ((ap) and Client) to make a connection
WEP and WPA settings are mutualy exclusive
Ethernet Address Selection
Ehernet selection, is placed on top of all encryption WEP /WPA
if activated that is just an extra condition to satisfy
Ether address selection performa an and with WPA and WEB functions
Sorry, I did not understand much of the above. WEP and WPA are different, and cannot, and are not, ran both at the same time on the same card. WPAPSK uses a single key.

-Wifi Serial monkey drivers
-Ralink drivers ar from RALINK not supported here but by definition OLDER and used as basis for legacy drivers and RT2xDrivers
Yes.

-Legacy drivers are the RAlinkDrivers DAILY improved by serial Monkey
developers to improve functionality. Due to daily .... there is no warranty(if in most minimal definition that they work), if this is through, where can ze find the latest most stable versions that work ???
-Beta versions are the latest toys to play with ... even less stablity then above.(not negatively intended)
The BETA drivers are all old versions and should not be used, I think we should simply remove them from the download section.
The drivers are not necessarily improved daily, it is only the tarball that is generated daily (hourly actually), they are what we advise people to use as they contain the latest fixes.

-Rt2X00 the future wifi drivers, good probability it does not work YET.
Yes, but it is already working relatively well in several setups.
