What command do you use?
You should use:
git clone git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/ivd/rt2x00.git

I have been slow at updating rt2x00.git with patches from others.
For the time being, you can best try:

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/linville/wireless-testing.git
