[rt2x00-users] Why do I have to clone the whole repository?

Guys,

This is really inconvenient. I have no intention of editing these sources.
All I need is a tarball or better still a package. You might suspect that
the internet connectivity is not ideal on a box somebody is trying to
install a wireless driver on. As it happens I'm using my phone to connect
but now I want to go out. It's not even past 1% as I finish this email.
What's the sense in this? How on earth are regular users ever expected to
abandon windows for a world like this?
