Hi,

My name is Ytai. I'm the owner of the IOIO
project<http://ytai-mer.blogspot.com/2011/04/meet-ioio-io-for-android.html>.
In short, this is a small board with a USB host enabled PIC
microcontroller, whose primary function is to talk to an Android device and
let it access all kinds of peripherals. IOIO's hardware and software are
both open-source under freeBSD.
As IOIO is a USB host, recently I started getting into the world of
dongles<http://ytai-mer.blogspot.com/2011/10/ioio-over-bluetooth-or-who-needs-cables.html>.
The first one being Bluetooth for its simplicity. Next up is hopefully
Wifi. I purchased a simple RT5370-based dongle and would like to write (or
much better: port) a driver for it to run on the PIC.

My attempts to find a proper documentation to the RT5370 interface have
failed. The next closest thing is the driver code, which has this
information hidden somewhere.
While my project is not related to the Linux kernel, I figured you probably
have all the relevant information and knowledge and would like to kindly
request some help. Mostly pointers to docs (if exist) and/or some quick
primer that will enable me to get into the code quicker (right now it's all
just a bunch of modules to me, with no clear layering and dependency
relationships...) Would also value your opinion on how feasible you think
porting this driver to a microcontroller would be (you can assume the USB
layer integration is something I can easily do).

Thanks for reading this far. Thanks in advance for any help!

Ytai

PS I'm based in Sunnyvale, CA, if any of you happens to be in the area, I'm
buying him lunch in exchange for information :)
