I have an RT5370 and a high power RT3070 device. Both were tested with kernel
3.3.4 and compat-wireless-2012-05-10. Transmit power levels were measured using
a laptop a few meters away running in monitor mode, then compared when using the
Ralink Windows XP driver.

RT3070, 3.3.4: same with XP
RT3070, compat-wireless: ~10 dB lower

RT5370, 3.3.4: ~10 dB lower
RT5370, compat-wireless: ~10 dB lower

The MAX_G_TXPOWER patch allowed txpower settings other than 0 dBm but the actual
power does not change.
