I have had issues with 100% CPU load, when transmitting UDP packets at high rate between two Ralink RT2870 chips in an adhoc network. (Also described in my respond on linux-wireless.[1]) By applying this patchset, the load problems are gone, and the driver/chip is now usable.
Tested on OMAP4 running Linux 3.2.7 with compat-wireless-2012-03-05.
